Polarhome supports POP3 on all systems. IMAP as well except on OpenVMS/VAX.

Yes it does, except OpenVMS. There might be some informational messages that the key issuer is not verified. It is not verified because the issuer is polarhome itself and not some well known company as verisign or thawte.

polarhome has implemented DRAC "POP3 before SMTP" relay control...

It means that you need some POP3 or IMAP user authentication before SMTP connection otherwise you will get error "we do not relay".
