Novell is announcing its contribution of the Xgl

Postby afonic » Wed Feb 22, 2006 6:07 pm

Novell decided to join forces with Xgl developers.

I am positive that if Novell really tries, they will solve most of the major Xgl problems, creating a nice looking enviroment for Linux, which will be able to compete with the upcoming Windows Vista.

The shadows and transparencys actually look quite a bit like Vista. I have used it since beta 1. Has anyone else used it?

I've used all of the builds released to the vista beta's.. I am not that impressed as it is very resource intensive for eye candy. It will need to perform wonders to outlast XP.
