can't blame you really, there are still people using p166mmx cause "they don't need anything besides email" ...

imho, as long as your pc can play mp3s and display 32bit pr0n, it's fine :P

OK... when this thread is awaken again... and you were asking what I use.

Well, I use an old HP OmniBook 6100 with 1GHz PentiumIII, 512M RAM 20G HDD with a D-Link WiFi card. This is kitty.polarhome.com
She's mine own (and not a corporate one)

I agree, that there is lot of hassle around with laptops - but it is so convenient have one.
Imagine a beautiful day. You sit in the garden, drinking a fresh red wine and hack something on an OpenVMS box, while you are watching your daughter to climb on an apple tree.
With a stationer - you miss this part of the life - the beautiful one.

Friend's are often asking me, why I still use my old laptop when even my sambo (in Sweden, this is a status between girlfriend and wife) has a newer, better one.
Well, I do not use kitty to run fancy games nor complicated calculations.
She's my X terminal and mail client that she still does very well.
I have a feeling that I will use her until some drunken friend piss on her on some party :)
(but this is an another story about a Fujitsu LifeBook - my first laptop)
Regards,
Z

This is a lot of space and 3D power. Do you do anything like video editing or 3D design?
