Long Live Polarhome! / papa_debian introduction

Postby papa » Sat Nov 29, 2008 9:13 pm

Polarhome is a great service. Many thanks to Zoli.

Wouldn't it be nice if the Polarhome community were more active, and the forum in particular?

To introduce myself, my name is David Meyer. I'm a 45-year-old IT manager living in Takarazuka (near Osaka), Japan. I'm a US citizen but have resided in Japan for the last 17 years.

Frustrated with my day job, but dream of programming. That's what inspired me to sign-up for Polarhome, which I did a few months ago. Just now starting to explore. Plans include setting up a Gopher server and a cross-compiler for my Sharp Zaurus Linux-based PDA.

I'm happily married and have five children, therefore the alias papa.

Be seeing you.

Hi David,

I too agree with what you're saying and it would even be nice if more of the thousands of users chatted on here.

Best Regards,

Sjaz.
