You're kidding?

if you knew how much i had to beat up my a300 till i managed to break it, you'de get a heart attack.

i played soccer with it, beach vollyball, ran over it with 3 different cars, threw it at huge baulders on the beach, threw it against the wall, you name it..

and it still took me 3 weeks of doing that ^ till it finally broke down..

those things really are made with durability in mind.. like.. durability against crazy mofos like me..

No way!
My phone is 6 months old and it fell donw like 100 times though it still works like it did the first day. I really don't have anything to complain about it.
Btw, I never heard anyone speaking badly about Samsung. I think they have a rather high reputation for the quality of their products.

Actually, shes not that hot, and before someone tells me I should be editing my last post, it takes far too long to display it so its quicker to use quick reply.

N71! It rocks man. I been using it for a year now and it had no problem. It has all the features u need. And best thing u can install and download themes, games, etc. on it with no extra software to use like a suite or something. It has sooo many features

I make do with a simple model manufactured by Sharp that came free with my SoftBank contract. Model 812SH, though I'm sure that's unknown outside of Japan.

A smart phone would be a great toy, but I'm afraid I'm spoiled by the Zaurus PDA that I carried with me for years. That is truly a pocket-sized Un*x workstation. I had a C compiler, Scheme, and even Emacs installed! Anyone remember the song "Alice's Restaurant"? ;) (Zoli, maybe you should add a Zaurus to the Polarhome data center. It wouldn't take much space. )

However, the need to economize has forced me to give up my mobile network access service, and it's the connection charges that will keep any smart phone out of my hands for the time being. :(

Hahaha I have never heard about Zaurus, but it seems it is a very nice and smart PDA... as long I have learned it would be able to provide remote shell access through telnet. Once you get tired of you Zaurus, please, open it for us.
I made already the reservation for zaurus.polarhome.com domain name :)

Otherwise, I use an HTC Desire nowadays.
Regards,
Z

The tragedy is that Sharp stopped manufacturing the darlings a few years ago. Their new NetWalker looks like a son-of-Zaurus, but I've heard no reports on whether or not it's as hackable as the Zaurus.

I will certainly keep Polarhome in mind when I am ready to finally say goodbye to my Z-kids. ;)

I am now lusting for another Sharp Zaurus descendant, the Lynx smart phone. And it just so happens we're considering switching our cell carrier to Docomo for other reasons, so I may get an early Christmas present.
