Do you have a shell account?

Template (free) accounts do not allow FTP access.

Try it. you got nothing to lose.

'Sides, most routers nowdays have the brain capacity to allow active ftp traffic.

Thats strange. Working from home (using a billybox) I'm behind a NAT box, and I connect using PASV.
( I use ws-FTP, the free version. )
