I can't log in

Hi guys, I've just registred in the Redhat server and I'm really new in all this, and I was trying to log in at my FTP account, I'm using cuteftp and this happends when I tried to log in:

STATUS:> Getting listing "/"...
STATUS:> Resolving host name gate.polarhome.com...
STATUS:> Host name gate.polarhome.com resolved: ip = 81.216.198.11.
STATUS:> Connecting to FTP server gate.polarhome.com:753 (ip = 81.216.198.11)...
STATUS:> Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
ERROR:> Timeout (60000 ms) occurred on receiving server response.
STATUS:> Waiting 30 seconds...


And that's all, it's always the same...

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but the fact is that I can't login
