I am trying to serve a jar and a jad (Java bits) to my mobile phone... but it won't work because the Redhat Apache reports jad as text/plain.

I have tried creating a .htaccess in the relevant directory.
Code: Select all
AddType text/vnd.sun.j2me.app-descriptor jad

...but that hasn't worked.

Could someone add that directive to the main Apache config?
