POP3 account newbie question

I thought i could check my email adress i got with the FTP account with Outlook Express, so when it asked for the server for incoming email i entered:
plm@mandrake.polarhome.com

When i tried it it said something like:
"plm@mandrake.polarhome.com could'nt be found"

Or exactly as it said in swedish:
"Det gick inte att hitta värden 'plm@mandrake.polarhome.com'. Kontrollera att du har angett rätt servernamn. Konto: 'plm@mandrake.polarhome.com', Server: 'plm@mandrake.polarhome.com', Protokoll: POP3, Port: 110, Secure (SSL): Nej, Socket-fel: 11004, Felnummer: 0x800CCC0D"

Did i do something wrong? Im completely new to this so i dont know anything about how to use it...

The correct server would be mail.polarhome.com, with the system's corresponding port.

However, for the mean time, id'e recommend that you use http://www.polarhome.com/service/phpop/?lang=en , as it is much simpler and more.. *ahem*.. "friendly towards new people"
