sorry... Denis has right. It was down.

Last month, during power probems almost every server were damaged. On redhat quotas are corrupted, and it takes 2-3 days to recreate them, meanwhile server is very sensitive - but kernel deos not like corrupted quotas and simply stops.

Conclusion: it will be so instabile until quotas are recreated and I will doit as soo I get some time.
Regards,
Z

I have a web site at redhat server and its down...

when is it going to get back online? I really need it soon...

I really find the quality of the services that polarhome offers very good, but the stability and speed have to get better.

It is also very positive the fact that you allow domain redirection to the free polahome domain.

Keep on the good work!

Are you going to pay Polarhome to hire a full-time unix system admin to maintain the servers?
Or perhaps pay for some rack space on a server farm?

didn't think so.

I didn't intend to offend you.

I really think that everything we do, every service we run or offer has to get better. And the only thing that polarhome lacks in is a bit speed during rush hour times and some stability with the server.

I have been searching for days to find a good and non-ads hosting place with a domain redirection feature. You offer alrady more than the average user expects.

So why getting nervous?
I am sorry if you misunderstood me.
So,as I wtote before, keep on the good work!

hi
im new, so i have no idea whats going on..
but i've just registered an ftp account on redhat.polarhome.com.
My problem: i cant reach te server..
so i wonder. is RH still down? if yes i'll perhaps register on an other OS-server..

i use ipv4 tryed on port 21 791 (should be forwarded to 21 using ipv4) and 6112 because there was something standing abaout all ports in range 5000-9999..
noone worked..
pop3 is fine
i found my self by fingering, so it should be allright..

polarhome looks nice so far.. happy new year

gate.polarhome.com port 21 works just fine for me.

Code: Select all
[21:07:44] WinSock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.7d 17 Mar 2004
[21:08:00] [R] Connecting to gate.polarhome.com -> IP=81.216.198.11 PORT=21
[21:08:00] [R] Connected to gate.polarhome.com
[21:08:03] [R] 220-Hello ...
