FTP problems on redhat account

Postby Thureen » Sat May 07, 2005 11:36 pm

I have just started using my redhat.polarhome.com account, my username is thureen, and I have having trouble with FTP transfers. Sometimes it takes for ever for small file to tranfer or the transfer of file isn't moving at all. I first though it was my ftp client, SmartFTP, but then I tried out Filezilla and trail copy of CuteFTP. All of them had to same problems. It took about 30min - 1 hour to get total size of 250k file to transfer, with filezilla after it automatically retired couple times. However, I wasn't able to get files in size over 100k to transfer at all. Any help would be apperciated.

Something is wrong with redhat's ftp. I get 0.0 KB/s upload on redhat but other commands seem to respond quickly. Freebsd give me about 24,0 KB/s so the line should be ok.

I'll inform Zoli.

Strange, now FTP is working just fine for me. I was using it all day long and there were no problems at all.

Wait for Z or mail support@polarhome.com but It could be also a problem on your side.
