I forgot for which systems I signed up for when registering

Postby Evan » Thu Jul 05, 2007 10:53 am

Hi !

First of all I wanna thank the polarhome admins who are doing an amazing job :)

I have a question regarding shell accounts. I registred my account almost one year ago, and have been using it on a regular basis. My problem is that I forgot for which systems I applied for in the registration form !

I just remember applying for Debian ( which I have been using for the past year)

Is there anyway I can find out which systems I applied for ?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Hello,

go to http://www.polarhome.com/service/networ ... inger.html and try to finger your username on polarhome servers like redhat, aix, solaris etc.
Regards,
Z

thanks for the quick reply :)

well, I did what you suggested and found out that I only signed for Debian ( which is down right now ) :(

Anyway, do I need a new account to access other servers, or can I request the access on my current username ? I'm doing some research for a university course, and I need access to different flavors of *nix ( nothing CPU/memory consuming, in fact no running programs at all, I am doing my research on the differences in the system design ).

So yeah, do I need to register a new account for every Unix on polarhome ?

thanks in advance :)

Yes, polarhome hosts do not share user accounts. (Too many of them!!).
