SSH to debian results in Redhat!?

Postby jastor » Sat Dec 01, 2007 10:26 pm

I SSH to debian_polarhome_com (I also tried gate_polarhome_com:755 (replace all the _ with . since Im not allowed to post urls yet according to the forum)) and this is the welcome I get:

Code: Select all
login as: jastor

Fedora release 7 (Moonshine)
Welcome to RedHat/Fedora ...member of polarhome_com realm

jastor@debian_polarhome_com's password:
Access denied

I just got the confirmation mail today that my shell access had been enabled. But as you can see I get access denied, probably because im connecting to the wrong server.

How should I solve this?[/code]

Some SSH clients don't recognize the :port.
You may have to use -p or something of that nature.
Remember, man pages are your friend.
There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
