   <description>It should be possible for 'path' to contain ** to enable searching down the directory tree. This works on my Windows vim, so it should not be too hard on VMS, which natively supports it (using the [...] syntax).

Currently, neither of the two work on VMS:

    :set path+=**,[...]
    :fin some_file_down_the_dir.txt
    E345: Can't find file &quot;vimio.h&quot; in path</description>
