BonTerra Resources Inc. (TSX Venture Exchange: BTR, FSE: 9BR) has received complete gold assays for drill hole BA-11-10. This hole has the widest gold intercept BonTerra has discovered to date and to the knowledge of the Company the widest ever gold intercept for the Urban-Barry belt. This zone is 169.70 metres in width assaying 0.73 grams/tonne ("g/t") gold. This expansive gold intercept is roughly twelve and a half times wider than the original gold zone discovered in BA-10-01 as disclosed in a news release dated November 9, 2010.

As is typically seen on the property, there are bands of high grade gold situated within the large gold zones. In this drill hole, high grade stretches assayed as high as 54 g/t gold. Gold grades are outlined below and in table 1.

89.70 metres assaying 1.33 g/t gold

78.70 metres assaying 1.47 g/t gold

57.20 metres assaying 1.97 g/t gold

31.00 metres assaying 2.84 g/t gold

4.50 metres assaying 18.16 g/t gold

2.30 metres assaying 31.63 g/t gold

0.70 metres assaying 54.00 g/t gold

BonTerra also assayed several samples over 1 g/t between 440 and 508 metres down hole. This equates to discovering gold at greater depths than previously known. BonTerra has now traced gold mineralization to 480 metres in vertical depth. This deepening of the mineralized zone by 115 metres creates additional tonnage for the anticipated resource calculation.

BonTerra continues to grow this mineralized zone which is open to the east, west, south and down dip. Recently, BonTerra assayed a sample of 114 g/t at depth in the south, another area previously unknown to host gold. BonTerra awaits assays for an additional seven drill holes at this time.

Mitchell Adam, President, states, "BonTerra is pleased to intercept a gold bearing zone nearly 170 metres wide, by far the longest gold intercept discovered to date. Deepening the gold zones is also of great importance to us, it shows the blue sky potential of the property. The more data we put into our 3D model, the better our geological team understands the property. This advanced knowledge has been paying dividends lately, first with our highest assay value, now with the thickest gold intercept."

Geological Characteristics of the Gold Bearing Veins on the Eastern Extension

The target for all drilling on the Eastern Extension property is smoky quartz veins mineralized with sulphides (pyrite, pyrrhotite & chalcopyrite ± sphalerite ± visible gold). Sulphides commonly compose 1-10% of the mineralized zones and can be as high as 30% locally. Alteration is most commonly silica, carbonate, chlorite, tourmaline and sericite. The combination of quartz veins, tourmaline, alteration types and sulphides is ideal for gold mineralization in the area. Sphalerite present in the quartz veins appears to be associated with the highest grade gold zones on the property to date.

This technical content of this press release has been reviewed and accepted by Thomas Clarke, Pr.Sci.Nat., a Director of BonTerra. Mr. Clarke is a Qualified Person under NI 43-101.

The drill program and sampling is being supervised on behalf of the Company by Geologica Inc. of Val d'Or, Quebec. These are sample results, taken from mineralized intervals of the drill holes. Depths and lengths are core lengths and not true widths. Gold intercepts disclosed in this news release are significant gold intercepts and not all the samples submitted for fire assay. Samples were submitted to ALS Chemex of Val d'Or, Quebec for crushing, pulverizing and fire-assay for gold. Samples fire-assaying greater than 10 grams per tonne gold are then fire-assayed with a gravimetric finish. Assay samples are taken from drill core, sawed in half along the core axis. One half is sent to ALS Chemex Laboratories and the other half retained by the Company for future reference. The Company applies a full quality assurance and quality control program (QAQC) system for every batch of samples submitted to the lab (gold standard, sample duplicate and blank).
