TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The National Police has confirmed the film made by
Seyam Reda, a German citizen of Arabic descent, was shot in an area of conflict
in Indonesia.

"People speak Bahasa Indonesia in the film," the National Police Chief General
Da'i Bachtiar told reporters at the National Police HQ on Friday (20/9).

The National Police will follow up this information by searching the area where
the film was shot.

When the police chief was asked about the area of conflict, Da'i said that at
the moment there were only two areas of conflict in Indonesia: Poso and Maluku.

As previously reported by TEMPO Interactive, Seyam Reda was arrested by the
National Police on Tuesday (17/9) and charged with having a connection with Omar
Al-Faruq.

Al-Faruq was now detained by the US and suspected as a leader of an Al-Qaeda
network in Southeast Asia.

He is even suspected of bombing Atrium Plaza in Jakarta and trying to kill
President Megawati.

Regarding the relationship between Seyam and Al Faruq, the police chief could
not explain this.

"Based on the intelligence information, [Seyam] must have relation with
[Al-Faruq].
However, we still have to clarify this," he said.

Da'i explained that he would investigate people that have any connection with
Faruq.
