Having read the report that Tina Egglezopoulou wrote about Keratsini and
the volunteer work the do there, we decided to get your banner off our
web-site (28/10/02). The aforementioned report which you accepted to
post on your web-site is full of lies and exaggeration that
underestimates lets not say discards all the efforts that our team is
doing at Keratsini.=20

We try to work consistently and with efficiency and there pops up a
report that makes us =93disappear=94 along with all the efforts we have =
made
and instead gives all the credit to some people who do not even do what
they claim to do. The aforementioned people (Tina and her friends) feed
the animals in Keratsini only twice a week (as they themselves said to a
colleague) and they do not even bother mixing dry food with tin food to
make it attractive to the poor famished dogs or putting water for the
animals to drink.

When it comes to emergencies, not even once did they show up and that
was the cause of a poor doggies death some days ago (there are people
who can back this up).=20

On top of that, they have never done any report for the TV or ever got
in contact with any TV stations and instead they use our actions to get
credit for themselves. The whole summer, after the 10 sterilizations
your doctors did in Mr Leventakis=92s kennel, Tina and her friends did =
not
go to Keratsini at all while on the other hand we had 30 emergencies
from accidents and diseases, everyday feeding and finding homes for
about 20 dogs and that was just in August.
The sterilizations that where performed to animals from Kerarsini were
only ten because we could not catch any more animals and they (Tina and
her friends) though it would be best without informing you about it to
get 20 dogs from another area and tell your doctors that they are from
Keratsini. (the twenty animals that I refer to, where from Markopoulo)

Unfortunately such practices are not approved by all animal lovers in
Athens with the result of Tina and her friends being cast off the rest
of the animal lovers and volunteers=92 community after not complying to
the comments of other animal lovers.

We are terribly sorry for all these and we hope to see that your work
does not get intimidated by such people as ours has been and that they
do not get you in any trouble or anything. We are going to take it
further with them, meaning that a lawyer is going to be dealing with
them soon enough.

To conclude, we would like to inform you that the dogs in Keratsini are
in good hands as we visit them many times a week after 23:00 to feed and
water them. We offer them cooked food dry food and tin food and we get
any impregnated bitches to the doctor to get sterilized as at the moment
we do not have the means to get all bitches sterilized at once. It is
not only these dogs that we support. Just because we do not have
adequate economic funds to support our project, we need every little
piece of help (volunteer work) we can get. So as you can se we do not
need people to blame us with lies like they do so that we can keep up
providing for the dogs in Agios Dimitrios, N.Smyrni, Elliniko,
Hollargos, Peristeri, Ymitos, Ilioupoli, Keratsini, Drapetsona, Agia
Barbara and Scisto, that we take care off at the moment.
