NAME
coda - Communication daemon and lightweight metric collector

SYNOPSIS
       coda

DESCRIPTION
Coda is a daemon process shared by OpenView's Operations Agent (OVOA)
and OpenView's Performance Agent (OVPA). In both cases, it handles
local and remote requests for performance data. By default, when
invoked from OVOA, it provides a subset of the metrics OVPA collects.
Coda is typically started by the agents' startup scripts and invoking
it outside of the agents' framework is discouraged.

DIRECTORIES
       The directory structure is:

       configuration dir: <base path>/conf/perf
       datafiles dir: <base path>/datafiles
       log dir: <base path>/log

On most systems, the base path is /var/opt/OV.

FILES
       <configuration dir>/datasources

       <datafiles dir>/coda.db
       <datafiles dir>/codaNNNNN (where N is 0-9)

       <log dir>/coda.txt
