PRIVILEGE(4) PRIVILEGE(4)

NAME
     privilege - privilege database

DESCRIPTION
/var/sysadm/privilege is an ASCII file containing entries granting
privileges to users. Each line consists of the name of a privilege, a
colon, and then a comma separated list of user names.

/var/sysadm/privilege is used by checkpriv(1M) and runpriv(1M) to help
determine whether a user has been granted a privilege. checkpriv and
runpriv also look in the directory /var/sysadm/defaultPrivileges for
default privileges and in the file /var/sysadm/privilegedUsers for
privileged users.	See defaultPrivileges(4) and privilegedUsers(4).

NOTE
Do not edit /var/sysadm/privilege by hand. The commands addpriv(1M) and
rmpriv(1M) are provided for editing the privilege database.

FILES
     /var/sysadm/privilege
