     ATSERVERS(1) K-Talk by Xinet (10/14/99 10.1) ATSERVERS(1)

     NAME
	  atservers - print AppleTalk services

     SYNOPSIS
	  atservers [ -v ] [ -w ] [ -x ] [ -a ] [ -O object ] [ -T
	  type ] [ -Z zone ] [ -N net.node ] [ number ]

     DESCRIPTION
The atservers utility uses the AppleTalk Name Binding
Protocol (NBP) to look up all named entities on the UNIX
host's AppleTalk network. The flags are defined as follows:

-v produces a more readable (but less parseable) output.

	  number
specifies the number of entities atservers will look
up. If no number is specified, atservers will look for
up to 20 entities per zone. If there are more entities
in a zone than number, a '[...]' (or a longer message
in verbose mode) will be printed at the end of the
listings for that zone.	In nonverbose mode, atservers
prints any entities it finds (in the format
object:type@zone), along with node information (in the
	       format [net/node/socket #] in decimal).

-x prints the node information in hexadecimal rather than
	       decimal.

	  -Z zone
specifies that the lookup will be for the AppleTalk
zone; otherwise, the lookup will be in the local zone.

	   -T type
specifies that the lookup will be for a specific type
	       of entity.

	   -O object
specifies that the lookup will be for the entity (such
as a machine name) identified as object.

-a indicates that the lookup should occur in all known
	       zones.

-w causes atservers to wait longer for responses. This is
mainly useful for long-haul networks, where response
times are slow. If the -w flag changes the output on
a local net, it usually means there are network
	       configuration problems.

	  -N net.node
specifies that only services registered at the address
net.node are found. This flag causes the -Z -T and -O

	       options to be ignored.

     DIAGNOSTICS
	  No entities in zone "zonename".
					No entities in the specified
zone (or as specified by the
					options) were found by the
					lookup operation.

More entities may exist in zone "zonename"...:
					specify a larger number
					argument to see the additional
					entities.

[...]: More entities may exist in the
					zone. You must specify a
					larger number argument to see
					the additional entities.
