SYNOPSIScdbBackup [ option... ]
DESCRIPTIONcdbBackup provides users ability to save cluster configuration database.
The backup file generated by cdbBackup command can be restored using
cdbRestore command.
OPTIONScdbBackup takes several options:
-d backup-directory
The configuration database backup file is stored in backup-
directory. If this option is not specified, the backup file
is stored in /var/cluster/cdb-backup directory.
-i backup-id
backup-id can be used to identify the backup file name. The
backup file name will be "cdb_backup-
id_<hostname>_<month>.<day>.<century><year>.<hour>:<min>:<sec>.tar.Z"
If this option is not specified, the backup-id part of the
filename will be omitted.
-c database-header-file
The location of configuration database header file can be
specified as database-header-file. If this option is not
specified, default configuration database header file
/var/cluster/cdb/cdb.db is assumed.
-help Prints command usage information.
NOTES
All nodes have to be backed up separately. The information in all the
configuration database is not the same.
There should be no configuration changes made when the configuration
database is being backed up using cdbBackup.
EXAMPLE
The following command backups the configuration database which has the
header file "/var/cluster/cdb/cdb.db" to "/var/cluster/cdb-backup"
directory with backup id "June1998".
cdbBackup-i "June1998"
