OVERVIEW
The Common Information Model is an open standard based on Distributed
Management Task Force DMTF is a consortium of many companies, collec‐
tively called a standards organization that develops and maintains
standards for systems management. These standards or building blocks,
promote the use of a common systems management infrastructure, regard‐
less of the underlying operating system.
Where Common Information Model defines how managed resources (servers,
networks or applications) are represented, specifically as objects and
the relationships between them, Web Based Environment Management
defines the communication protocols between these managed resources for
which tools such as HP SIM, HP SMH, iCAP/iCOD, and HP VSE depend on.
DESCRIPTION
makes sure that the cimserver process is running when it should be.
Should the cimserver process stop running in a case other than being
shutdown gracefully, will recognize this and restart it automatically.
By default, will check on the status of cimserver every 30 seconds.
This period can be adjusted by setting the value in the file, and hav‐
ing re-read this file. In order to have re-read the file, the process
must be killed (kill -9 pid). will respawn automatically as it has an
entry in
