NAME
     tanh, dtanh, qtanh - FORTRAN hyperbolic tangent intrinsic function

SYNOPSIS
     real r1, r2
     double precision dp1, dp2
     real*16 qp1, qp2

     r2 = tanh(r1)

     dp2 = dtanh(dp1)
     dp2 = tanh(dp1)

     qp2 = qtanh(qp1)
     qp2 = tanh(qp1)

DESCRIPTION
     tanh returns the real hyperbolic tangent of its real argument, dtanh
     returns the double-precision hyperbolic tangent of its double-precision
     argument, and qtanh returns the real*16 hyperbolic tangent of its real*16
     argument.	The generic form tanh may be used to return a double-precision
     value when given a double-precision argument, or a real*16 value when
     given a real*16 argument.
