NAME
dumpfs - Dump UFS file system information

SYNOPSIS
       /usr/sbin/dumpfs filesystem... | device

DESCRIPTION
The dumpfs command prints out the super block and cylinder group infor‐
mation for the specified UFS file system(s) or special device. The
listing	is very long and detailed. This command is useful for getting
information about the file system block size and minimum free space
percentage, for example. If the file system is mounted, you must spec‐
ify the raw device. The following is an example of device entries in
       an /etc/fstab file:

       /dev/disk/dsk8a / ufs rw 1 1 /dev/disk/dsk8g / ufs
       rw 1 2 /dev/disk/dsk8b / ufs sw 1 2

To see the information on the /usr file system (which is mounted),
       enter the following command:

dumpfs /dev/rdisk/dsk8g You must have the sysadmin command authoriza‐
       tion to run this command.

The dumpfs command does not report information on the AdvFS file sys‐
       tem.
