NAME
       evweb subscribe - enables you to view, create, modify, and delete event
       subscriptions

SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
       The command enables you to create delete modify list and view  detailed
       information about subscriptions.

       The  options  are  mutually  exclusive.	 They  can  be used with other
       switches such as and

   Options
       The command supports the following options:

	      Specifies whether the list of categories must display
		     or subscriptions.	Subscriptions created by  tools	 other
		     than are referred to as subscriptions.  The default value
		     is

		     Following are the examples for using the option:

		     ·

	      Creates a new subscription.
		     The following  switches  can  be  used  along  with  this
		     option:

		     ·
		     ·
		     ·
		     ·
		     ·
		     ·
		     ·
		     ·

		     The switch is mandatory.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

		     ·

	      Deletes a subscription. Use the following switches with the
		     option:

		     ·

	      Specifies severity as a part of the subscription criteria.
		     Severity  is  represented	by an operator followed by the
		     severity values.  The following operators can be used:

		     equal to		     (default)
		     not equal to
		     less than or equal to
		     greater than or equal to
		     between

		     The default value of operator is You must	use  only  one
		     operator  at a time.  To use the operator, you must spec‐
		     ify the lower and upper severity levels.  For  all	 other
		     operators, you must specify only one severity level.

		     The  severity  level ranges from to where is least severe
		     and is most severe.  Following lists the severity	levels
		     in ascending order of severity:

		     Unknown
		     Normal
		     Other
		     Information
		     Warning
		     Minor
		     Major
		     Critical

		     Use a colon to separate an operator and a severity level.
		     Use a comma to separate two  severity  levels.   You  can
		     also  use	a space to separate an operator and a severity
		     level.  However, in this case,  you  should  enclose  the
		     operator  and  severity values within double quotes.  You
		     can specify only one switch in a command.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

	      Lists details of an event subscription.
		     Use the switch with the option.  The switch is mandatory.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

	      Forces the command without asking for a confirmation.
		     You can use the switch only with the option.

	      Displays how to use the
		     command.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

	      Specifies an EventID.
		     Use this option as a part of the  subscription  criteria.
		     You cannot use this switch more than once in a command.

	      Lists a summary of event subscriptions.
		     Use with the option.

	      Modifies a subscription.
		     The  following  switches  can  be	used  along  with this
		     option:

		     The switch is mandatory.

		     ·	If the destinations are not specified with the option,
			then the behavior depends on the usage of option.  For
			more information, see the description of the option.

		     ·	If both the subscription criteria and the  destination
			are specified, both of them are updated.

		     ·	If  the destination is specified but not the subscrip‐
			tion criteria, the  destination	 is  updated  and  the
			original subscription criteria are retained.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

	      Specifies	 the  name of the subscription.	 The subscription name
	      must be unique.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

		     ·

	      Specifies a Provider Name.
		     Use this option as a part of the  Subscription  Criteria.
		     This option can be used with the -C(Create) or -M(Modify)
		     option.

		     ·
		     ·
	      Specifies whether the destination should be modified.
		     This is true only if the subscription criteria are speci‐
		     fied  as a part of the subscription modification request.
		     Use this option only with the option.
		     For if you specify only the subscription criteria and not
		     the destination, then:
		     ·	If you specify the option, retain the current destina‐
			tion and update the subscription  criteria  as	speci‐
			fied.
		     ·	If  you	 do not specify the option, remove the current
			destination and update the  subscription  criteria  as
			specified.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

		     ·

	      Specifies one or more subscription destinations.
		     You  can  use  the switch to specify one of the following
		     destinations:

		     Indicates that events are stored in the Event Archive.
				 No  additional	 property  is  required.   The
				 location of Event Archive is

		     Indicates	that events are mailed to the specified e-mail
		     address.
				 You can specify  multiple  e-mail  addresses.
				 Use  a semi colon to separate multiple e-mail
				 addresses in the or field.  Use  a  colon  to
				 separate   keywords  in  the  and  field,  or
				 enclose the complete e-mail string in	double
				 quotes.   The	use  of	 keyword is mandatory.
				 However, the use of the keyword is optional.

		     You can specify only one destination with the switch at a
		     time.   To	 specify multiple destinations, use the switch
		     multiple times.

		     Following are the examples of the option:

		     ·

	      You can use the
		     switch to specify one of the following destinations:

		     Indicates that events are stored in
			    And only ge:5, ge:6 and ge:7 can be specified  for
			    -e.	  No  additional  property  is	required.  The

	      Specifies an event category as a part of
		     the subscription criteria.	 Use the command to  view  the
		     possible  values  for  this  option.   The event category
		     strings are case-sensitive.

EXAMPLES
	      Lists all subscriptions that are created using EVWEB.

	      Lists all subscriptions that are created using tools other  than
	      EVWEB.

	      Displays details of the subscription named

	      Creates a subscription named The subscription criteria is Desti‐
	      nation is not selected.

	      Creates a subscription named The subscription criteria is and

	      Creates a subscription  named  The  destination  is  The	e-mail
	      addresses are (in the field) and (in the field).

	      Creates  a  subscription named The subscription criteria are not
	      specified.  However, multiple e-mail destination IDs are	speci‐
	      fied.

	      Modifies the subscription, and changes the subscription criteria
	      to The destination is modified to

	      Modifies the subscription, and changes the  subscription	crite‐
	      ria.  The severity is greater than or equal to five.  The desti‐
	      nation is not modified.

	      Modifies the subscription, and changes the  subscription	crite‐
	      ria.   The severity is less than or equal to five.  The destina‐
	      tion is deleted.

	      Deletes the subscription, without asking for confirmation.
