NAME
       hz - Global Variable: Stores the number of clock ticks per second

SYNOPSIS
       extern int hz;

DESCRIPTION
       The  hz global variable is set to the number of clock ticks per second.
       The value is useful for timing purposes. For example, if a kernel  mod‐
       ule  wants  to schedule a routine to be run in 2 seconds, you could use
       the following call:
