IOPRO_DUMP(8) BSD System Manager's Manual IOPRO_DUMP(8)

NAME
iopro_dump - Shared memory dump for Chase Research IOPRO

SYNOPSIS
     iopro_dump [-v|-h] [-f file] | [card [unit iopro_dump0 0iopro_dump1
		 1iopro_dump2

DESCRIPTION
Iopro_dump displays the contents of IOPRO shared memory in a more read-
able form. It's main purpose is for debugging of the interface although
it can be used to obtain silly statistics like the number of characters
input and output, or for checking the firmware version.

Without arguments the program displays info about the first external unit
and it's ports. Other units may be selected by adding the card and unit
numbers. If a page number is added information about only that page will
be printed. Page 1 is the firmware control page and physical ports nor-
     mally follow on from there.

-v enables a far more verbose output, most of the information only being
     of interest to driver hackers.

-h causes the pages to be hexdumped rather than displayed as text. This
is only for very serious hackers.

-f can be used to supply a alternate device or file name in place of the
card and unit numbers. This is normally used with an image captured at
     some pervious time.

WARNING
In order to operate this program must be able to read files in /dev/io-
pro. Since these files contain images of the cards data buffers it is
possible to catch user information such as passwords in them. The files
in /dev/iopro are accessible to root only by default. Do not change these
permissions unless you don't care about security.

DIAGNOSTICS
     Should be self explanatory.
