PRIVILEGEDUSERS(4) PRIVILEGEDUSERS(4)

NAME
     privilegedUsers - privileged user database.

DESCRIPTION
/var/sysadm/privilegedUsers is an ASCII file containing a line for each
privileged user on the system. A privileged user is a user who has all
system administration privileges; that is, the user can use runpriv(1M)
to run any of the privileged commands in /usr/sysadm/bin.

Each line in /var/sysadm/privilegedUsers contains a login name and no
     other characters or delimiters.

     checkpriv(1M) and runpriv(1M) look in /var/sysadm/privilegedUsers to
determine whether or not a user is a privileged user. If a user is a
privileged user, checkpriv and runpriv will succeed. Otherwise,
privileges are determined by the other factors described in runpriv(4).

NOTE
/var/sysadm/privilegedUsers should not be edited directly. Use the
addpriv(1M) and rmpriv(1M) commands to administer privileged users.

FILES
     /var/sysadm/privilegedUsers
