STRCAT(3)		    BSD Programmer's Manual		     STRCAT(3)

NAME
     strcat - concatenate strings

SYNOPSIS
     #include <string.h>

     char *
     strcat(char *dst, const char *src);

     char *
     strncat(char *dst, const char *src, size_t len);

DESCRIPTION
     The strcat() function appends a copy of the null-terminated string src to
     the end of the null-terminated string dst, (including the terminating
     `\0' character).

     The strncat() function appends not more than len characters from the
     null-terminated string src to the end of the null-terminated string dst,
     and then adds a terminating `\0' character.

     No bounds checking is done by either function, the string dst must have
     sufficient space to hold the result.

RETURN VALUES
     The strcat() and strncat() functions return the pointer dst.

SEE ALSO
     bcopy(3),	memccpy(3),  memcpy(3),	 memmove(3),  strcpy(3)

STANDARDS
     The strcat() and strncat() functions conform to ANSI C X3.159-1989
     (``ANSI C '').
