NAME
       t_strerror() - produce an error message string

SYNOPSIS
DESCRIPTION
       The function maps the error number in errnum that corresponds to an XTI
       (X/OPEN Transport Interface) error to a language-dependent  error  mes‐
       sage string and returns a pointer to the string.	 The string pointed to
       may not be modified by the program, but may be overwritten by a	subse‐
       quent  call to the function.  The string is not terminated by a newline
       character.  The language for error message strings written by is imple‐
       mentation-defined.  If it is English, the error message string describ‐
       ing the value in is identical to the comments following the defined  in
       If  an  error code is unknown, and the language is English, returns the
       string:

       where error is the error number supplied as input.  In other languages,
       an equivalent text is provided.

       is not fork-safe.

RETURN VALUE
       The function returns a pointer to the generated message string.
