Name
       uname - print name of current UNIX system

Syntax
       uname [ options ]

Description
       The  command  prints  the current system name of the UNIX system on the
       standard output file.  The command determines  which  system  is	 being
       used.

Options
       -s     Print the system name (default).

       -n     Print  the  nodename (the nodename may be a name that the system
	      is known by to a communications network).

       -r     Print the operating system release.

       -v     Print the operating system version.

       -m     Print the machine hardware name.

       -a     Print all the above information.
