Graphics/X
Graphics mode-
The graphics mode configured by default at installation has
been enhanced. Systems with common graphics adapters can be
expected to come up in 800x600 256 color mode automatically.
Higher resolutions can be configured post installation for
many supported graphics adapters.
Video Configuration Manager-
The
Video Configuration Manager,
a SCOadmin tool, provides
single-point graphics subsystem configuration with advanced device
detection and test mode.
X server-
When the system is rebooted with a different adapter, the X server will
attempt to operate the new adapter in the same high-resolution mode as
before the adapters were swapped, without the need for the user to
reconfigure the system.
VESA driver-
A device-independent VESA driver is supplied to provide
non-accelerated operation for many newer graphics devices
in high-resolution modes.
Multi-console devices-
There is support for multi-console devices produced by Boundless
Technology and Maxpeed. We do not distribute the relevant device
drivers. Contact the vendors directly for information about availability
and supported devices.
X11R6-
X server release level X11R6 is supported.
X extensions-
The following new X extensions are supported:
-
DOUBLE-BUFFER
-
RECORD
-
SYNC
-
XC-MISC
-
XKEYBOARD
Binary compatibility-
Binary compatibility is provided for SCO UnixWare 1 and 2 and SCO OpenServer
R5-based X clients.
