Configuring audio adapters

The Audio Configuration Manager interface

Use the Audio Configuration Manager to add and remove adapters from the system, and to examine and test audio configurations.

NOTE: Do not modify or remove an audio configuration while audio-enabled applications are running.

You can start the Audio Configuration Manager in either of these ways:

NOTE: While any user can view the system's audio configuration, only those with root or system owner privileges can modify audio configuration.

Remote administration using Host -> Open Host requires user equivalence on the machine you plan to administer. The remote machine must recognize the account being used to administer users on the local machine. See ``About user equivalence'' for more information. As on the local machine, non-root accounts must be be system owners to run the Account Manager. See ``Assigning authorizations'' for more information.

For more information on using SCOadmin managers, see ``Administering your system with SCOadmin''.
