Suggestions for managing diskettes

• Whenever you format diskettes, format an entire box at once and label the box clearly so you know the diskettes are already formatted.

• To avoid inadvertently erasing data, use the write-protect tab on the diskette before you start copying files from a diskette to another medium.

• Keep multiple copies (backups) of important data.

• Store your diskettes in a clean, dry place away from strong electro-magnetic fields.
