DECUS (Digital Equipment Computer User Society) is an organization for users of DEC hardware and software.
After Compaq bougth Digital they wanted DECUS to get a new name. DECUS US called themselves Encompass and the european DECUS's called themselves CUO (Compaq User Organization).
After HP bougth Compaq there were again talk about new name Interex. But the name HPUG (HP User Group) is also used. I never understood how that all went.
I will continue to use the DECUS name.
