NAME
     finish - blocks until the Geometry Pipeline is empty

C SPECIFICATION
     void finish()

PARAMETERS
     none

DESCRIPTION
     finish forces all unsent commands down the Geometry Pipeline to the
     rendering subsystem followed by a final token.  It blocks the calling
     process until an acknowledgement is returned from the rendering subsystem
     that the final token has been received.
